Something much worse happened.
I'll share the story.
I came home from a clinical (went super well).
I unusually had energy and was driven to start an assignment. This is odd because I'm usually SO freaking tired from a 12 hour clinical and I just crash.
I wish I would have. . .
I'm sitting on the couch (lol) and I'm starting o look online for a book a classmate told me that really helped her with the assignment.
As I'm searching, I get hungry.
And...
Well I'm trying not to over eat so much because I have a fucking closet full of pants/jeans I can't squeeze my ass into!
So I opted that day to walk to the fridge and grab a slim fast bottled shake.
Embarrassing.
So anyways, I go back to the couch sit down again with my laptop on my...well, lap.
I casually sip on my slim fast shake (it's supposedly 'chocolate' flavored).
Well the 'chocolate flavor must have wafted to Bella's nose (my 2 year old beagle/light of my life) because all of a sudden this damn dog pounced on my freaking stomach and I lost control of my slim fast shake and BANG!
It lands on my laptop!!!
I quickly try to grab it and flip the laptop over...but it's too late it's covered in thick, sticky, and destructive slim fast.
Needless to say my laptop (MacBook Pro) was fried.
I still tried everything to fix it.
I googled what to do.
I let it drain (watched my MacBook cry chocolaty tears!)
I took it apart and try to 'clean' it.
I stuck it in a bag of rice.
No use.
So~
I didn't react the way I thought I would.
I did not blame my dog (I know it was ultimately my fault/responsibility), so I refused to take it out on her.
I didn't cry, I just because depressed and isolated myself and ignored my friends for about a day.
I was grieving.
I lost important documents, information, photos, and more. (No it wasn't backed up...)
I'm trying to retrieve the contents of my HD.
Well I ended up purchasing a new MacBook Pro like 2 days later...
But I still miss my other one.
I now have a strict "no liquids near the laptop" policy.
I'm purchasing an external HD.
I'll blog about my V-day later (it was quite nice!)
Take Care.
