New Goodies

Yesterday I decided to hit up my local Walgreens and do a little bit of drugstore makeup shopping. 

I was in the mood for some new nail polishes but didn't have anything specific in mind. 

I like going to Walgreens because they carry Sinful Colors polishes.

Inexpensive and a great color selection.

Here are the colors I picked up.

I painted my toes in Lets Talk and omg, it's such an amazingly beautiful color! 

Since I'm not allowed to wear polish on my fingernails (because of school) I only use very pale shades.  So far I've been able to get away with it.  I just can't bare the thought of not wearing polish on my nails, it would make me feel unkept. ;(((

So I painted my fingernails in Just You Wait. It's very light and looks very clean.  Just a slight dash of shimmer.

Another item I purchased was a super cheap lipgloss by Jordana.

Talk about a pleasant surprise!  It's a light pinky shade that has lots of micro-glitter.

The formula is very comfortable. Not sticky and feels nice.  

I really love the watermelon scent and taste.  I swear it's just like a JollyRancher candy.

What's really great is you don't feel ANY grittiness from the glitter at all.

Shoe News

Decided to do some online shopping today and I wanted to share what I got. 

I shopped on Forever21's webshop.

I purchased a few cute items but I'm most excited about a pair of platform oxfords I ordered! 

They're a knock-off of the Jeffrey Campbell's litas!!! 

I just can't bare to spend 170$ on a pair of shoes, so the forever21's 34$ is so much better.  

I don't expect the same quality as the Jeffrey Campbell's of course, but I don't wear the same shoes daily and I'll do my best to be gentle :)

I'll also share the other items I bought as well. 

I plan on pairing the lime green tank with the navy poka-dot skirt and the teal tank with the floral body-con skirt (I'll wear the JC knockoffs with the floral/teal combo).  I don't know what I'll pair the overalls with, anything really.  

I had to purchase the overalls in a large because the last time I bought overalls (cute sailboat printed ones!) at F21 I picked my usual size (M) and they are too short for my taste (um camel toe?, no thx).

LOL I tried to return them at the store at my local mall, and F21 wouldn't do it, so of course I got pissed and started arguing. 

 I told the chick at the counter that I didn't want any money, just to swap the size to a bigger one.  She told me since they were a 'sale' item it was final.  I was so pissed because I saw them on the rack in the large size and I couldn't have them. I told the sales lady that everything at Forever21 is on 'sale' because it's so cheap.  I told her that the size M overalls were giving me bad self-esteem and I was becoming depressed.  She wouldn't budge.  I called her an evil retail commie then huffed out of the store with my too small overalls. ;( 

Now I'm force to have a female frontal wedgie and it sucks. Oh well. 

I'm excited for this order though, it has promise.  

Oh by the way, I read Xiaxue's blog (she the world's best blogger ever) and I stoled the lime green tank and poka-dot skirt outfit from her ;)

Time to eat and study now, bye.

Big update... So I cancelled the shoes on my order.  I just couldn't stop staring at the JC litas.  I'm obsessed.  But still a poor college student so I found better dupes.

My Vice...Make up

So I've been very busy with my studies.  I have a MAJOR exam this friday.  But I don't let that get in the way on my obsession, make-up. 

Danny (my bf) was soooo sweet and got me a present.  

The new Urban Decay Vice palette! 

I was so excited when it came in the mail, if felt like Christmas.  

20 new shades! All very lovely.  I'm honestly not sure which one is my favorite yet. 

The actual palette is pretty nice too, sleek and sturdy. 

Maybe I'll take pics of swathes after my exam on friday.

Next of my make-up goodies (that I purchased this week). Is Philosophy, Amazing Grace. 

I got my hands of three different products at BigLots!

I only paid 3$ each for a lip gloss [Pretty Please], duo eyeshadow [Heaven and Earth], and a Pink Skin Illuminator. 

The packaging was a bit beat up but the actual products were in perfect condition. I made sure before I bought them. 

Very cute. 

I also got a Physicians Formula compact. Healthy Wear SPF 50 4$, woot! 

If you have one near you check out BigLots and see what's available, you can get lucky. I heard a rumor that some of them were carrying TooFaced!

ME ME ME

Really good day today.

Had breakfast with my parents and had awesome conversation. 

Came home and watched some tv with the bf. Then took a really nice nap.

Woke and went to do some grocery shopping and I bought this month's issue of Glamour!

I'm so excited because it's always the little things in life that I miss so much!

I really miss reading fashion/beauty magazines. 

I use to have a ritual that I would make my favorite hot tea and grab a magazine and curl up of the sofa and read it cover to cover.  

/sigh. I miss those days.  

But now, since I can only do it from time to time it's kinda extra special :)

Btw I freaking love Emma Watson on the cover!  Her hair is gorgeous!  She looks so cute. 

I'm inspired.  Tomorrow I'm tight-lining and smudging silver shadow around my eyes.

Sushi Time

Danny, my bf is just too good to me.  A few days back (just before my first exam this semester) I was studying all day and night so Danny decided I deserved a break and treated me to sushi.  

Was so nice because he knows just how much I love it.  

It was also nice too get fixed up and look pretty. 

I was feeling frumpy, stuck in the house in my comfy house/studying clothes. 

I picked out a cute skirt I got awhile back at American Eagle Outfitters.  I paired it with a simple ribbed white tank. I also wore my new white sandals from Urban Outfitters (which are on sale for 14.99$ but only in black now, click the link to see if they have your size!)

So the sushi restaurant we go to is really quaint and romantic.   Nice and small to make it intimate.
I had such a nice evening <3 Danny can be sooo sweet!  

He knows I can over do it with studying and burn out, so he tries to keep me balanced. 

Sooo on this note, I'm going to do some school reading now lol. Bye.
